Как превратить риски в возможности с новым Oracle Crystal Ball22 декабря 2011
Currently, Oracle Crystal Ball solutions—the industry-leading spreadsheet-based suite for predictive modeling, forecasting, simulation, and optimization—are used by 85 percent of Fortune 500 companies, and are part of the curriculum of all top 50 U.S. MBA programs.
"Failing to include the impact of uncertainty and risk in your analyses can derail your financial plans, especially in times like these," says Lucie Trepanier, Crystal Ball solution specialist. "To mitigate risk and maximize profits, you have to be able to incorporate variability and uncertainty into the core of your planning processes."
Looking Into the Crystal Ball
Using data ranges rather than single data points, Oracle Crystal Ball uses probabilistic analysis and Monte Carlo simulations to more accurately estimate and help mitigate risk.
Oracle Crystal Ball solutions begin with Oracle Crystal Ball, the base package for predictive modeling, Monte Carlo simulation, and forecasting. Oracle’s Crystal Ball Enterprise Performance Management builds on this by adding the power of Oracle Crystal Ball to Oracle Enterprise Performance Management and Oracle Business Intelligence applications.
Both editions can be enhanced with Oracle Crystal Ball Decision Optimizer, which provides advanced capabilities for optimization and calculation speed to Oracle Crystal Ball's simulation and forecasting toolset.
New Features in Release 126.96.36.199.000
"Over the last two and a half years, Oracle has invested substantial development resources into the latest release of Oracle Crystal Ball, adding to and improving all aspects of the solution," says Hari Sankar, VP of Product Management.
For example, organizations can now use Oracle Crystal Ball's powerful time-series forecasting capabilities using historical data pulled seamlessly from Oracle Hyperion Planning and Oracle Essbase. Other key innovations in Release 188.8.131.52.000 include
Predictor, the predictive modeling feature of Oracle Crystal Ball, which now includes ARIMA, an advanced modeling technique for time-series analysis
OptQuest optimization for decision modeling, which has been completely rewritten and is now available in Oracle Crystal Ball Decision Optimizer
